My husband, Scott, and I have two beautiful children.  Carson, who is 1 yr old, and Averie who is up in Heaven.  On October 5th of 2013, our world came crashing down.  Averie, 17 months old at the time, opened a door that lead into a backyard with a pool.  She somehow fell/got in and drowned before she was found by Scott.  We have experienced such an incredible loss... something that no family should ever have to go through.  Since loosing Averie, we feel it is our duty, and our passion to prevent this from happening to any other child and their loved ones.  After much research, we have discovered preventative measures that can be taken to avoid this devastating kind of loss and we would like to help inform others.  We also feel we can lend a caring heart to those who have suffered this kind of loss.  I am so very thankful for Colin's Hope.  Colin's Hope really did give us hope when we thought we had lost all hope... hope that we can make a difference.  I believe that we can educate and advocate and help make this world a better place with Colin's Hope.  Averie is looking over me, inspiring me every single day.  I hope that she will inspire all of you too.
