I am excited to be raising money for this great cause and am so appreciative of the members of the swim community in Circle C who have rallied to the cause to join me! It's the 10th anniversary of Colin's Hope and so we decided to swim ten 1000s for the ten years this great organization has been around. A good sized group of us are swimming 10 x 1000 yds at Circle C Swim Center starting at 7am on Septemeber 1, others are dropping in to swim part of the 10k with us, or have their own goals, like swimming a mile. Having worked with Colin's Hope for 5 years now I've seen the amazing work they do to raise awareness for drowning prevention... And I've met parents who've lost their children to drowning. Those parents have found strength and purpose in Colin's Hope and/or their own foundations after their tragedies and they are truly inspiring. This year I will be swimming in honor of all those parents I have met over the years, and all those parents out there that have lost a child to drowning. My heart goes out to you and your families.
