To celebrate my 70th birthday we’re kicking off a 70-day challenge to help our health, the local nonprofit community, and hopefully have some fun along the way. Through September 22nd, the “70th Challenge” goal is all about seventy:
70 miles of swimming, in
70 days, AND
7000 dollars in donations collectively
Since my 70th birthday on July 14th, a team of 7 swimmers and I have completed 40 swims for a total of 33.87 miles in 33 days. We are on track to hit 70 miles in 70 days! Will you help us hit our $7000 donation goal?
Proceeds benefit Colin’s Hope (https://www.colinshope.org/), a local nonprofit that raises awareness for water safety to prevent children from drowning. This charity is near and dear to my heart, as is the YMCA where I've been swimming for years and years. By supporting me in this challenge, you support the folks at those places I care about too.
